Traditional Canarian Village House

La Gomera is a beautiful unspoilt island one hour by sea from Tenerife, and the house is a traditional old townhouse in Agulo, the prettiest village.

We have kept the traditional tiles, the shutters, cupboards and wooden beams of the old house wherever possible.

On the ground floor the front door opens into a hall with a large salon at the front of the house incorporating a living area, dining table and small kitchen with hob, sink and fridge. The hall leads to an interior courtyard lush with exotic plants, and arranged around it are a twin bedroom, a shower room, and a double room with ensuite.

Stairs go to our own apartment on the first floor where you can use the patio area with sun loungers and eating area. When we are not there the bathroom, kitchen and living room are also available.

About the location

La Gomera is a small less developed island where the tourism is limited to maintain the natural environment and the rain forest that covers much of the island. It is perfect for walking with a network of excellent paths. The house is on the main street of Agulo: officially one of the prettiest villages in Spain. Agulo overlooks the sea and a perfect view of Tenerife and Mount Teide across the sea. There are less than 1000 inhabitants but the village has bars, restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacy and bank.

A hire car is recommended for exploring the island but there is a bus service to San Sebastian, the capital, where there are two beaches for swimming.
