London house, 2 miles from St Paul`s Cathedral and the City of London
We live in a 3 storey modern terrace - built in 1990 - 2 miles north of Liverpool St station. Regular bus services will take you into the heart of the City, or London`s West End, within 30 minutes. Hoxton Overground station is a short walk away, which provides connections to the Elizabeth Line at Whitechapel, just 2 stops away. Brick Lane, Victoria Park and Islington are all within walking distance, and the Grand Union canal towpath is very close indeed, running just a 3 minute walk from our front door.
Our street is quiet so you will get a good night`s rest. Local shopping, particular on Hoxton Street, will provide you with ample groceries and good quality produce. Excellent Vietnamese food is available at a number of restaurants within walking distance, and there are other types of restaurant nearby, too. And, of course, a pub. Several pubs, in fact.
About the location
The internet says "Hackney is a vibrant, highly diverse, and trendy borough in inner East London, famous for its creative arts scene, rich cultural history, and extensive green spaces. It bridges the historical East End and North London, offering a unique mix of urban energy and village-like neighbourhoods" and who am I to disagree?
But where we live is close to Islington, the City of London, and Tower Hamlets. (And Camden isn`t far away if you like to cycle). So genuinely much of what London has to offer is a short bus journey away, and pretty much everything is within 45 minutes by train from Hoxton station.
