Our spacious, family-friendly home is located in the charming & friendly market town of Faringdon, offering the perfect base for a relaxed summer stay with easy access to Oxford, the River Thames and the Cotswolds.
The house has three comfortable double bedrooms, with flexible sleeping arrangements suitable for families. There is a large kitchen-diner ideal for shared meals, a cosy living space, and a separate playroom filled with toys for young children. The home is well set up for family life, with a bathroom featuring both a bath and a large double shower, plus a downstairs toilet and utility space.
Outside, the garden is a highlight during the summer months. There is a covered pergola with comfortable seating, a Weber BBQ, chimenea, and additional outdoor chairs — perfect for relaxing evenings. Children can enjoy outdoor toys, water play, and a paddling pool.

About the location
Faringdon is a friendly and welcoming market town that offers the perfect balance of countryside charm and everyday convenience. It has a relaxed, community feel, with a great selection of independent cafés, pubs, and local shops, as well as larger supermarkets all within easy walking distance. From the house, Tesco is just a 5-minute walk, with Waitrose and Aldi around 10 minutes, along with several lovely pubs ideal for a relaxed meal or drink.
One of the standout features of our location is its excellent access to some of the UK’s most beautiful and well-known destinations. The Cotswolds are just a 10-minute drive away, where you can explore picturesque villages such as Burford, Bibury, and Stow-on-the-Wold. Cotswold Wildlife Park is around 30 minutes away and makes for a fantastic day out, especially for families.
Oxford is easily accessible via regular buses (running every 15 minutes) or by car, offering world-famous architecture, museums, punting, and a wide range of shops and restaurants.
The River Thames is just a 10-minute drive away, perfect for riverside walks, picnics, or relaxing by the water.
Despite being so well connected, Faringdon itself remains peaceful and less touristy than many nearby areas, making it an ideal base to return to after a day of exploring. It truly offers the best of both worlds—easy access to iconic destinations, combined with a calm and authentic place to stay.
There is a great selection of food options too. For something special, the nearby The Crown & Coaching Inn offers a Michelin-star dining experience within walking distance. along with a variety of takeaway and dining options including Indian and Chinese. Or McDonalds drive thru 10 mins drive way.
For families, the area is particularly well suited. There is a children’s park just a 3-minute walk from the house, as well as a variety of playgrounds, green spaces, and safe walking routes nearby. The surrounding countryside offers plenty of opportunities for exploring, whether that’s gentle walks, picnics, or longer countryside routes.
