A cosy family home in the suburbs of Belfast

My home is a cosy and welcoming family house just fifteen minutes from Belfast, with regular bus services that make exploring the area easy and convenient.

As a single mum and a French and German teacher who loves travelling with my three young children, I’ve created a warm, practical space that’s perfect for families. The house sleeps five people in total, with one comfortable double bedroom for two, a single bedroom, and a children’s room with bunk beds.

Downstairs, you’ll find a bright living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a convenient downstairs toilet, while the main bathroom is located upstairs.

Outside, there is a lovely patio area ideal for relaxing, as well as a private garden where children can play safely.

Our home has a peaceful, friendly feel and makes an excellent base for discovering Belfast, the surrounding countryside, and the beautiful landscapes of Northern Ireland. As this is our lived‑in family home, it is well set up for children and offers a warm, homely atmosphere that we hope others can enjoy as much as we do.

About the location

Belfast is a vibrant, exciting, and culturally rich city that offers an amazing mix of history, energy, and creativity. Visitors can explore the iconic Titanic Quarter, home to the award‑winning Titanic Belfast experience, which brings the story of the world’s most famous ship to life. The city centre buzzes with a thriving café and restaurant scene, from cosy artisan coffee spots to stylish eateries showcasing the best of Northern Ireland’s produce. Belfast is also known for its brilliant museums, including the Ulster Museum, which offers everything from art and archaeology to natural history, as well as the beautiful Botanic Gardens beside it. There is excellent shopping, lively street markets such as St George’s Market, and a fantastic theatre and live‑arts culture, with regular performances at the Grand Opera House and the MAC. Belfast is equally famous for its warm and welcoming Irish pub tradition, where you can enjoy live traditional music, friendly conversation, and a genuine local atmosphere. From outdoor lovers to culture seekers, there truly is something for everyone.

My home is perfectly placed to enjoy Belfast’s energy while also offering easy access to the incredible natural beauty of Northern Ireland. The stunning Mourne Mountains, with dramatic peaks and walking trails, are close by and ideal for families and adventurers. For unforgettable day trips, the world‑famous Giant’s Causeway and the breathtaking Antrim Coast are only about an hour and a half’s drive from the house, perfect for exploring rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and charming coastal towns. It is an ideal base for anyone wanting a blend of lively city life and spectacular scenery.
