Whitstable By The Sea and the Woods

A cosy terraced 1930s house, with a sunny lounge-like conservatory at the back, looking over a shady garden with a back gate with access to a parking area for one car. A sitting room at the front with a sofa and chairs, and a dining area off of a small kitchenette. Gas cooker and central heating. Two double bedrooms comfortably furnished, one with a King Size bed and the other with a double sized futon or can be used as a sofa. One bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.

We have a cat who would like to be fed and stroked from time to time, once she has got used to you.

About the location

Whitstable is easily accessible from London by train and has pebble beaches 15 minute walk from our house. The main high street is 10 minutes walk away and has two wonderful green grocers, two excellent bakers, cafes and restaurants for everyone's taste. Many of the pubs have music in the evenings. Independent shops nestle alongside some well known brands, and there are several supermarkets to choose from. Many artists and creative people live in Whitstable and show their work at The Fish Slab Gallery and the Horsebridge arts Centre. Markets are held on a Saturday at the Umbrella Community Centre.

You can walk for miles, along the coast to Margate and beyond, and to Faversham and Oare the other way. We have a massive open space, Duncan Downs, with woods and streams, this is a managed area, by the Friends of Duncan Down and this is only 10 minutes from our house.

Our road is friendly and our neighbours welcoming. It's a lovely place to visit and explore. Buses run regularly to Canterbury and trains go to Margate and Ramsgate, or in the other direction to Faversham, change to travel to Folkestone or Deal.
