Brislington Home
Our home is a welcoming two-bedroom Victorian terrace in the peaceful and friendly neighbourhood of Brislington, Bristol. It combines period character with modern comfort, offering a perfect base for families, couples, or remote workers.
The heart of the house is a modern, open-plan living space, perfect for family life and entertaining. The living area opens through bi-fold doors onto a spacious, flat garden with a deck that catches the evening sun – ideal for outdoor dining or unwinding with a glass of wine.
For anyone working remotely, the house is equipped with super-fast internet, a standing desk, and monitor. We have a young baby and would be happy to provide a high-chair, cot, pram, toys etc.
The house has central heating, a well equipped kitchen with a big dining table and a recently renovated family bathroom (as well as a shower room). We have a great collection of board games, a big TV for watching films and good quality speakers in the cosy living room. There is two double beds upstairs, and a sofa bed in the living room.
Transport links are excellent, the house is just 10 minutes to Bristol Temple Meads train station and around 15 minutes by bus or bicycle to the city centre.
We have two bikes and a car that can be available on request. There is ample free onstreet parking
About the location
Brislington is a friendly, residential neighbourhood with a laid-back feel and plenty of local conveniences. The small nearby high street offers a mix of cafés, pubs, restaurants, and independent shops, including a much-loved vegan Chinese takeaway, a charming deli, and a well-stocked green-grocer. We love visiting Besses tea garden for a drink by the river in the summer and Lost and Grounded taproom for their world class beers.
Nature is close at hand, too – you’ll be within walking distance of riverside paths and several green spaces, perfect for a morning stroll or an afternoon picnic. Brislington is also on the main bus route to Bath, making access easy – around 20 minutes by car or 40 minutes by public transport.
Bristol is one of the UK’s most vibrant and creative cities, full of history and character. There are world-class museums, the vibrant and colourful harbourside, and the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge. Theatre lovers can visit the Bristol Old Vic, the oldest continuously operating theatre in the English-speaking world, while foodies will love the diverse restaurants and coffee shops. Bristol also has a thriving music scene, street art everywhere and a festival almost every weekend! We love exploring Bristol's varied neighbourhoods- Clifton is great for boutiques, cafes and good views; Cotham is full of amazing restaurants; Easton has the best variety of cuisines you could hope for and Southville is full of independent shops to browse and pubs and cafes to visit.
Beyond Bristol, the Roman city of Bath is really nearby, with its spectacular Georgian architecture, Roman Baths, and world-renowned spa culture. And within an hour, you can be surrounded by the wild beauty of South Wales, including the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park, ideal for hiking and outdoor adventures. Cheddar gorge, Glastonbury, the Cotswolds and plenty of quaint English villages are a stones throw away.
