Cranberry cottage

Cranberry cottage is situated very close to the centre of Chagford, a delightful, small but lively town on Dartmoor. Within a minute's walk are several pubs and cafes, and some great shops including a new book and art materials shop (the town is home to a disproportionate number of artists and musicians!) If you love walking, our house is perfectly situated - whichever direction you walk in you will find a multitude of footpaths leading through deep forested valleys, rolling hills or onto the high moor.
The house itself is a quirkily shaped cottage with a small garden, set back from the street. It's very cosy, with a Rayburn in the kitchen and a woodburner in the sitting room. There are two and a half bedrooms (the 3rd is a walkthrough) but this arrangement works well with accommodating children! It's our family home so not very minimalist, but it is very, well, homely - visitors to the house always comment on how it exudes this sense of relaxed comfort. It really is a wonderful base for exploring wild and beautiful Dartmoor, and enjoying a taste of life in a colourful, slightly alternative community.
