Ecological Straw Bale House

Beautiful ecological, wheelchair accessible, family home, with lots of light, all on one level, high ceilings, and set in a large garden with two acres of woodlands, on the edge of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire. In terms of accessibility, it has level, step-free access into and throughout the property, a large wet room with both a shower area and a bath. There are actually two bathrooms and a further WC, but the second bathroom only has the WC and wash basin working currently. All the doors are wide and the rooms are spacious. The kitchen is a free standing kitchen and as I'm the wheelchair user and do most of the cooking, I've made it easy for myself and anyone else using it. This property is currently under offer (we're selling) so the two dates in August 2025 are our last chance to share it. Though I'll likely list our next property too!

About the location

We are on the North East edge of the New Forest National Park, which is lovely for walks and bike rides. It's not a touristy part so has plenty of space to roam and bike or dog walk and see the ponies, donkeys, cattle and pigs that roam free on the Forest. We are close to four cities (Salisbury, Winchester, Southampton and Bournemouth, each of which have their own histories and interests. We are 30-40 minutes away from the South Coast and beaches / sailing. And as well as areas of natural interest, there are also military and social history and places to visit. The closest small market town is Romsey, which is about ten minutes by car. There are some excellent restaurants in each of the towns and cities and I'd be happy to provide suggestions.
