About us

We are a professional couple who love to travel and enjoy discovering new places. Our home is a semi-detached, two-bedroom bungalow with a mature garden and private drive, located in the picturesque village of Welton by Lincoln, just six miles from the historic centre of Lincoln.
The bungalow offers a spacious and comfortable living area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a peaceful garden—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The village itself has all the essentials, including supermarkets, traditional pubs, a post office, and a highly rated fish and chip shop. There are plenty of country walks and cycling routes nearby.
Welton is an ideal base for exploring a variety of attractions and activities within a 40-minute reach:



• Historic Lincoln: Discover Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, the cobbled streets of the Bailgate, and a vibrant selection of restaurants, shops, and cafes.



• Market Towns: Enjoy the charm of local markets and independent shops in nearby towns such as Newark and Gainsborough.



• National Trust Sites: Doddington Hall and Gardens, and the stunning Belton House are both within easy driving distance.



• Nature & Walks: Explore the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Whisby Nature Park, and Hartsholme Country Park for scenic walking, wildlife, and picnicking.



• Family Fun: Rand Farm Park and Woodside Wildlife Park are perfect for a family day out.



• Golf, Fishing & Cycling: Several golf courses, fishing lakes, and well-marked cycling trails can be found nearby.



• Coast: The Lincolnshire coast, with its sandy beaches and seaside towns like Skegness, can be reached in under an hour.




Transport links are excellent, with regular bus services into Lincoln and easy access to the A46 and A15 for those travelling by car. Lincoln also has rail connections to London, Nottingham, and other major cities.
