We are a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 6 and 8. We have a lovely family home in Portobello, the seaside suburb of Edinburgh. Downstairs there are 2 kids bedrooms, a family bathroom, living room, and large open plan kitchen/living/diner. Upstairs, the house has 2 large double bedrooms and a shower room in the upstair attic conversion, with views of the sea. The property has a large garden to the rear with a dining table and chairs, swings, mud kitchen, trampoline and wendy house. There are 3 adult and 2 kids bikes in the garage which can be used by guests. Our car is kept in the drive, and there is ample on street parking. We would consider a car swap.
The master bedroom is downstairs but we are not looking to make this available to guests, and as such is not included in the listing.

About the location

Portobello is a costal suburb of Edinburgh with a long sandy beach and bustling promenade. We are 5 mins walk from the beach. The promenade has play parks, cafes, bars, a swimming pool, Turkish Baths, swedish sauna, and soft play. The high street is 10 mins walk and has independent shops, bakeries, restaurants and bars. Easy access to Edinburgh city centre by bus (30 mins) or train from Brunstane Station (10 mins). Our home is at the quiet end of Portobello, on a very quiet street, ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh at the end of the day.
