Victorian Terrace House in Medieval Norwich
Our home is a Victorian terrace in Norwich, it is only a 10 minute walk to the city centre. We have central heating and double glazing throughout. The house has big windows and is very light and bright, and very warm in winter. There are 4 bedrooms, one is currently used as an office and the other as a Nursery for our baby, one with king-size bed, and one with a double bed. There is an additional double air bed that can fit in the living room if required.
The kitchen comes off of the dining room and is a wider than usual galley kitchen with big windows looking out onto the south-facing garden. The lounge room is comfy and bright with TV. There is a downstairs bathroom with toilet and shower over the bath. The property has 2 off-street parking spaces.
We are in a lively, friendly neighbourhood with grocery stores, restaurants and shops within 2 minutes walking distance. A 30-50 minute drive will take you to beautiful Norfolk beaches and stately homes, and we have easy train access to London (including Eurostar) within a 90 minute train ride and Cambridge within an hours train ride. Norwich has an international airport for easy access to Europe, London Stansted also an easy drive.
About the location
Norwich sits in the heart of The Norfolk Broads National Park, Britain's largest wetlands, the only UK city within a National Park. A trip along the Broads in a boat is a unique experience that will never be forgotten. We have both a small tender and a cannoe that can be used on the broads at the local yacht club and can offer access to these.
Norwich is the first UNESCO city of literature, it has a lively cultural scene and beautiful architecture -- it is the best-preserved medieval city in Britain with cobbled streets and medieval buildings, including a medieval castle that is open to the public.
Norwich is the UK's most easterly city. It is close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK and to many stunning stately homes (including Sandringham Estate, one of the royal residences).
Easy and fast train access to central London (including the Eurostar to Paris), Cambridge, Lincoln etc. Norwich has an international airport with frequent flights to Amsterdam, Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and the Greek Islands. London Stansted airport (which offers wider European access) is an easy drive (1hr 40mins) or easy train ride away.
