Three bedroom house
Our home is a three bedroomed, three storey terraced house on a peaceful street. It has been fully renovated over the last few years in contemporary style. On the ground floor, there is a lounge with wood burning stove, which opens onto a modern kitchen diner. In the first floor there is a spacious double bedroom, spacious bathroom with separate shower and free standing bath, and smaller bedroom that is used as an office (desk and office chair), although it does also have a double sofa bed. On the top floor, there is a very large master bedroom which is en suite, with mini fridge, seating area and Juliet balcony. Outside, there is a lovely south facing back garden which has a decking area, lots of plants and a large seating area that comfortably sits 6. The house can sleep 6 but we would recommend it for small families. We have a lovely gentle cat called Ranger that would neee to be looked after as part of a house swap. He is a very friendly cat who goes outdoors (doesn’t have a litter tray) so is very low maintenance. There is free on street parking.
About the location
We live in zone 3 of London in a lovely family friendly area called Honor Oak Park. The streets are quiet and peaceful, mainly Victorian houses, and we are 5 minutes walk from Honor Oak high street and also Brockley Rise which has a selection of great restaurants, cafes, delis, small supermarkets and shops. We are a 10 minute walk from another great area called Forest Hill which has a wider range of shops, gym pool etc. There are several nice pubs within walking distance, including a small local one at the end of our street. We are 10 minutes from Blythe Hill park, and around 20 minutes walk from Peckham Rye Park and also Dulwich Park, both very large with beautiful gardens. The wider local area is fantastic too, with Peckham, East Dulwich, Dulwich and Crofton Park offering a range of brilliant restaurants, bars, cafes, shops etc. An award winning museum and gardens, the Horniman, is also close by.
We are a 7 minute walk from a train line (Honor Oak station) which has direct trains to central London (12 minutes to London Bridge, similar to Canada Water where you can get on the underground to various London locations). You can be at most central London attractions in 30-45 mins.
