1830`s workers cottage fully restored in lovely conservation area close to Oxford

We have a beautiful 1830`s extended end of terrace cottage in a village conservation area just north of Oxford.

Our home is over three levels overlooking our little garden with a garden room where you can enjoy the beautiful long days of an English summer.

We have a modern Kitchen/dinning room on the ground floor with separate living room adjacent. We have a cosy log burning fire in there.

On the first floor we have a spacious bathroom with bath and shower and a double bedroom and a small office. On the second and top floor is another bedroom with a skylight and window. The house has traditional beams throughout.

About the location

Kidlington is mentioned in the Doomsday book and is the largest village in England. It is a mix of the old and the new. Old Kidlington contains the 8th century St Mary the Virgin church and the new high street has all the mod cons with a Tesco and Co-Op supermarket and cafes. There are two pubs close by.

Our house is just a short walk to buses that can take you into Oxford central in about 30 minutes. Oxford Parkway Station is just a few minutes down the road and from there you can take direct trains into Marylebone in central London in about an hour.Trains run until late in the night so you can easily pop into London to have dinner and see a show if you want. You can also catch a train into Oxford station taking about 10 minutes.

We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and are at the edge of the Cotswolds. The ancient village of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace is also just 10 minutes down the road. There is lots to do from sightseeing in Oxford to beautiful country walks and visits to stately homes nearby.
