About the location
Historic Clerkenwell is on my doorstep surrounded by unique and incredible history, including the church that Henry VIII married in in Ely Place, Clerkenwell Green - home of the May Day celebrations - and Ye Old Mitre, one of London's oldest pubs.
The world's oldest - and still functioning - meat market, Smithfield, dates back 1,000 years. The fabulous open air heated all year pool and sauna at Oasis is a ten minute walk away - me and my daughter usually go to the 50-year-old Dutch Pancake House afterwards!
And finally, we're in walking distance to Covent Garden, theatre land and Oxford Street shopping district. Historic Leather Lane market is also on the doorstep.
Tube stations 5 mins away, a bus route and easily rentable bikes on the doorstep too.
