Country hideout - Rufford / Ormskirk

My house has two double bedrooms with a toilet and basin upstairs and family bathroom with roll top, free standing bath downstairs.The kitchen is well equipped and the sitting area very comfortable. The vaulted ceiling and big windows make the house particularly attractive.

Outside there is a small courtyard with lots of pots and raised beds. Afternoon sun is enjoyed on loungers. All three sides of the house are block paved. There is room for 2/3 cars parking.

About the location

My home is in a small village with a canal running through. It’s a very quiet area although on the A59 between Skipton and Liverpool. There is a village pub which serves food daily and a weekly pub quiz. There are two marinas, each have their own cafe/restaurant and both are popular with visitors. Rufford Old Hall, a Tudor National Trust property is a ten minute walk from my home.

There is a supermarket five minutes drive away as well as two train stations, one on the Southport to Manchester line. The other train station is on the Preston to Ormskirk line, with easy access to Liverpool city centre.
