The Nest

The Nest is a Grade 2 Listed 17th Century beamed and thatched cottage situated in the picturesque village of Rattlesden. The downstairs bathroom has both a separate shower and rolltop bath. The kitchen has a dining area and there is a separate dining room and lounge. There is also a bedroom with a small double bed on the ground floor.

Upstairs there is a large bedroom with double bed and a small bedroom with a single bed.
The enclosed back garden is laid to lawn with flower beds and trees.
Parking is on road in front of the cottage. There is additional parking close by at the village hall.
There is WiFi at the cottage with Netflix and Amazon Prime.

About the location

Rattlesden is a lovely picturesque village situated in the Gipping valley. It has a beautiful 11th century church, a village shop and post office as well as two pubs, one is a highly recommended ‘Gastro pub’ and the other is a real ale pub much frequented by the locals. The Nest is well situated for exploring the many attractive villages in this part of East Anglia, with Lavenham, Clare, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds all less than a 30 minute drive away, and Cambridge an hours drive as are the lovely coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. There are frequent trains from Stowmarket (4 miles away) to Norwich and London.
There are numerous footpaths for walks to appreciate the lovely countryside.
