Modern London Home in a converted Victorian Police Station

Our home is the old Lee Police Station. Built in 1904 and converted to flats 20 years ago, the building still keeps some amazing original features - the bathroom has an original cell window and a 1970s cell door, the living room has original windows that you will recognise as belonging to a police station instantly!

While most the rooms have extra high ceilings, the living room is particularly striking with 19ft high ceilings and an all glass mezzanine level and spiral staircase. The kitchen is recently finished and has all the equipment you need to cook (induction hob) at home. There is a double bedroom and a single bedroom (this is a kids room and includes a 1 bed bunk bed), we also have a full height blow up bed with headboard that you are welcome to put in the living room if you are looking to increase the sleeping space in the house).

The home is super safe - behind a police grade iron gate! - with 24 hour CCTV. There is a gated courtyard that includes a parking space for you to use.

You can borrow our two adults bikes if you like. We have two toys chests full of games for children aged 5-15 as well as some puzzles and board/card games for grown ups too.

There are two front doors but they both require walking up or down at least 4 steps, so unfortunately the house is not wheelchair accessible.

About the location

Just 30 minutes from London Bridge, Waterloo or Charring Cross, we are situated in the lovely area of Blackheath. The train station is an 8 minute walk away, or busses direct to central London stop outside the house. Greenwich is also very close by with a large park (with deer!), the Cutty Sark, and a huge market.

Blackheath has a famously "village feel" to it with plenty of independent cafes, shops and of course the vast heath. There is a local pub opposite the house and a larger gastropub just 5 minutes away. We are surrounded by restaurants and are next door to both a large Sainsburies and an independent shop that stays open till late every day.
