Our spacious, comfortable house is close to the fishing village of Burtonport, famed for its delicious cuisine and fantastic hospitality, and a short drive to the Gaeltacht town of Dungloe with plenty of shops, eateries and pubs.

About the location

The house is situated in beautiful surroundings with wonderful views and the nearest beach which is breathtakingly beautiful is 7 minutes drive away. The area is quiet and peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing stay, or a walking holiday.

The house is very close to a disused railway track which has been transformed into a nature trail walk to the village of Burtonport itself. From there you can take a ferry across to the island of Arranmore, which is also well worth a visit.

The small town of Dungloe is close by, and has a variety of supermarkets, so buying groceries is not a problem.

The tourist information office in Dungloe is a mine of information, and it also has a small cafe run by some lovely local ladies, with wonderful cakes, scones and wheaten bread, all made by the ladies from the cafe.
