Well appointed stable annex contains another king size bed, seating , log burner, kitchenette and small courtyard overlooking the sheep in the paddock.

The utility room is next to the kitchen with all the usual appliances..

I normally use the stable annex for airbnb but it will not be occupied while you are here and can be used if required for additional guests.
It could also be used for a couple in a non-simultaneous exchange.

I have a low maintenance, charming , independent cat named Boris and I would be grateful if my exchangers would feed him daily.

My daughter lives locally and in the event of any unexpected problems arising with anything, she would always be happy to help out.

About the location

I am well situated for access to the M3, M4 and two nearby mainline stations.
The cottage is set in open countryside between the picturesque villages of Old Basing and Newnham which are both approximately one and a half miles away.
Old Basing has pretty cottages, 2 pubs, the historic ruins of Basing House, village stores, tennis courts and an amazing, award winning bakery and coffee shop. Newnham has lovely walks and a great small family run pub called the Old House at Home.

The area is great for walking, cycling and many outdoor pursuits.

The location is perfect for exploring Hampshire's beautiful villages and small market towns as well as being with easy striking distance of London, The New Forest, Southampton, Windsor, Winchester , Farnham, the south coast, the South Downs and many National Trust properties and places of interest.

Two railway stations, Hook and Basingstoke are less than 10 minutes away and the fast train to Waterloo in London takes 45 minutes.

Winchester is half an hour away, Farnham 20 mins and the lovely market towns of Stockbridge and Alresford less than half an hour away.

Jane Austins house at Chawton is 20 mins away and Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) is half an hour.
Locally there is fishing, tennis, many other outdoor pursuits, good choices of farm shops, pubs and restaurants.

Other local attractions are the Vyne National Trust House, Bombay Sapphire distillery, Indoor Skydiving, flying experiences at Blackbush airport, The Hawk Conservatory, gliding at Lasham , West Green House and Gardens and many others.

Windsor Great Park and Legoland are within easy driving distance.
