Our detached country cottage is tucked away down a short unmarked farm track and surrounded by beautiful walks and cycling. Only 1 hour 9 minutes to London King’s Cross by train!

The house swap is in a peaceful location set amongst it’s own enclosed small garden with separate parking for up to two vehicles on a working arable farm in the heart of beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen/diner which includes an integrated hob oven & grill, integrated fridge with ice box, washing machine, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and hob top coffee maker.
The sitting room has a 37" colour TV, DVD player, a selection of DVDs, books and games.
In the bed room there is a king size bed, chest of drawers, large desk if working while away, this can also be used as a dressing table. Access to the ensuite toilet & sink.
There is a built in wardrobe within the small hall area.
The large wet room has an electric shower, sink and toilet.
Underfloor heating throughout.
Only one step which is over the stable door into the cottage.
The wrap around garden includes a patio area with table and chairs.
Please note we are down a short bumpy rural farm track and you will need a car.

About the location

Laying between the two villages of Norton Disney and Bassingham, both within a mile. With distance views of Lincoln cathedral across the fields and only our detached farm house as your nearest neighbour.

Norton Disney is a quiet, quaint picturesque village which dates back to the 12th century and home to heritage sites, village church, bistro pub, fishing lakes and twice yearly horse trails.

Bassingham, a settlement in the Domesday Book is by the river Witham and in comparison has two gastro pubs, two well stocked village shops, one incorporating the post office, a church and local doctors.

The cottage is ideally situated between the cathedral city of Lincoln with its world-renowned cathedral and castle, cobbled streets and vibrant cultural scene and the historic market town of Newark on Trent which has a rich heritage. Both are a short drive away and offer a range of independent shops, eating places, theatres, cinemas, museums, castles and sporting facilities.

With easy access through to Newark Northgate Station (15 minutes drive with parking available) which provides direct links into London King’s Cross, 1 hour 9 minutes via the fast train.
