Large beautiful stone house in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales

Our home is a late 1800’s stone double fronted house. With a cozy living room with a big bay window to enjoy the view of Embsay Crag, well worth walking up for views of the surrounding Moors.

We have a small TV and DVD player and lots of good books to read. Plus lots of toys for smaller children.

The beautiful dining room is freshy decorated with double doors leading to the garden and a spacious kitchen opposite.

Upstairs there are 3 large double bedrooms with double beds. One bedroom has a basic en-suite with shower, sink and toilet. There is a shared newly renovated bathroom with bath and shower and twin sinks.
Downstairs there is an extra bedroom with double bed and small en-suite.

The house is comfortable with all modern appliances and plenty of space.
We have a cellar where the utility space is with washing machine.

We have a large south facing garden, and chairs and tables for dining outside in the warmer months. At the end of the garden is a garage and parking space for two cars.

About the location

Embsay is a pretty village in the Yorkshire Dales, famous for its volunteer led vintage steam train with a route that leads to the stunning Bolton Abbey. This is the perfect place for green space and walks that lead to stunning waterfalls and woods. There is so much to see in the Yorkshire Dales. You’ll need a few trips to take it all in.

It’s perfect for children with so much on offer to keep them active. With Hesketh Farm Park for tractor rides and petting the farm animals just a 10 min drive away. Brimham rocks, a large space full of strange rock formations, perfect for climbing.
Another favourite of ours is the Himalayan Sculpture Garden.

There is a small village shop on the main road and then tucked away a renovated Mill with businesses - one of which is a great Café called Clean Eats for lovely coffee and healthy smoothies. Also a couple of pubs in the village.

The picturesque town of Skipton is less than 2 miles away with good butchers, bakers and a market selling fresh fish and cheese. There are some lovely farm shops nearby, the biggest is Keelhams with a great selection of local and organic produce. Only 10 minutes away.

Lots of good restaurants including the Michelin starred Angel at Hetton.

Skipton is an hours train/car journey away from Leeds and Manchester for busy exciting city adventures and airports. Beautifully photogenic Harrogate and York are not too far away too.

The beauty of our position is that you can enjoy a bit of everything, tranquility, walks and stunning scenery or more cultural stimulation with museums and galleries - there is something for everyone.
