Three bed home in Victoria Park

Our home is a bright and airy, ex-local authority, purpose built maisonette, perched amidst green spaces in East London`s desirable Victoria Park, in South Hackney.

Arranged over the second and third floors of a solid, purpose-built block, our comfortably shabby home has a south facing balcony off the living room, a kitchen with gas cooker, large fridge and washing machine, and a downstairs second loo. Upstairs there are two larger bedrooms (one with king-size bed, one with queen-size bed), one smaller bedroom, with a king-size bed (this one`s a tighter fit!), and the bathroom.

The building is accessed by a fob through a common security door and the flat has its own front door off a common balcony.

We have gas central heating but rarely turn it on as the flat is well-insulated, with double glazed windows. In the summer, we open all the windows and get effective cooling through cross-breezes.

About the location

Our local shopping area, affectionately known as Vicky Park Village, has a butcher, fishmonger, delicatessen, several grocery shops, cafes and speciality shops. Ten minutes walk away there is another shopping street with larger supermarkets.

Victoria Park is in zone 2, and our home is well-served by public transport, with easy access by bus to Mile End and Bethnal Green underground stations, and Hackney Central on the overground.
