Looking for someone who is happy to cat sit. We acquired Simon as his previous owner sadly passed away suddenly. He is free to come and go through cat flap. No need to stay around during day as long as he is fed morning and evening and has a bit of company at night. He is very sociable.
Three bedroom house, kingsize bed on 1st floor with family shower room next door. 2nd bedroom on 1st floor used as office/storage not available as bedroom. Daybed in loft which converts to large kingsize has an ensuite with bath and shower. Downstairs toilet/utility. Log burning stove in living room. Storage for bikes or local hire of electric bikes. Garden with lovely views. Parking on drive big enough for 6m van. 10 mins walk into town for shops, pubs, bus and train. We are a "bit fussy" in terms of cleanliness so would like someone equally so. Possible use of our car by negotiation.
About the location
5 mins drive from Hadrian`s Wall World Heritage Site. Great walking (and river swimming) on the doorstep in North Pennines. The South Tyne is a great salmon fishing river, local day permits available. 10 mins from bus and train to Newcastle and Carlisle. One hours drive to North lakes, Southern Scotland or East and Western coasts. Fabulous coastal nature reserves on the Solway Firth within an hours drive.
Haltwhistle has a high street with butchers, grocers, chemist, two small supermarkets, a leisure centre with outdoor pool in summer (April to mid September). Pubs and restaurants within walking distance in the town or a short drive away.
