Our family home is a 17th century former coaching inn, set in the middle of Brassington - a picture postcard Derbyshire limestone village nestled in hills and close to the towns of Ashbourne, Matlock and Bakewell.
Renovated in 2006 but retaining tons of original features our cosy house is a lovely place to come back to after exploring everything that the local area has to offer! The "snug" is the centre of the house with a log burning stove and library, moving into a living room with TV, Netflix and Disney+ and a well equipped kitchen and utility.
Upstairs you'll find a large double bedroom with ensuite shower room, and two kids bedrooms and family bathroom. Heading up again you'll reach the master suite with large double bedroom, and a separate bathroom.
Outside there's off road parking and an enclosed, pretty walled garden with outdoor seating and BBQ.
About the location
Brassington is in the middle of nowhere and everywhere all at once! Beautifully quiet and friendly village with two pubs, featuring lovely walks from the doorstep, but just a few minutes drive from a whole host of activities: Carsington Water is 5 minutes in the car, great for walking, sailing and cycling whilst further afield you have the market towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell with Chatsworth House, the Tissington Trail and Alton Towers all within twenty minutes drive.
Sheffield, Nottingham and Manchester are also all doable in a day trip if you need an urban fix!
