A detached characterful cottage in an Area of Outstanding Natural and near the Jurassic coastline. Just 15 mins drive from 2 beaches, and a 10 minute drive to the historic riverside town of Topsham. Which has just been voted the best place to live in the south west! The cottage is in the centre of the peaceful village of Woodbury. It is directly behind the village shop and a one minute walk from the local pub. There is also a championship golf course just 5 minutes away.

Barn cottage is right in the heart of the popular picturesque East Devon Village of Woodbury, with Woodbury Common surrounding the village, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with its many miles of paths for walkers and cyclists to enjoy. For the keen golfer Woodbury Park golf club and leisure complex is a 5 minute drive away.

The cottage sleeps 6 people as it has three bedrooms available. The main bedroom has a super king sized bed and plenty of built in storage, there is a hairdryer for guests use. The second bedroom has a single bed and the third bedroom another single bed. In the lounge there is also an Ikea double sofa bed if needed.

The kitchen has everything you will need for the perfect holiday, table and four chairs, built in oven, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine.

In the lounge there is a dining table and chairs, two sofas, flat screen TV, and DVD player as well as an inglenook fireplace and gas fire. We have wireless broadband.

Children and dogs welcome.

Outside the courtyard garden has table and chairs to catch the south facing sunshine.
Free parking is available in the village.

Please be aware that the cottage is old and some of the door frames are quite low.

We have recently bought this house and are in the process of modernizing it. We have had a damp course carried out, a new boiler installed, a gas cert, and an EICR (as all the electrics have been checked). Cosmetically we need to repaint areas, but the cottage is fully functioning and very characterful.

About the location

Woodbury Village benefits from having two local pubs, both offering excellent food and local beers. The Maltsters Arms and the White Hart Inn both of which are a 1 - 2 minute walk away from the cottage. A minute walk will take you to the excellent Chinese/fish and chip shop which is very popular.

For all your everyday needs there is an excellent village shop/post office, in front of Barn cottage a 30 second walk away... great for getting the bacon and eggs and morning papers.

The village also has a few curiosity / antique shops and also an art studio often displaying fantastic works of art / pottery.

There is a reliable local bus which services the village and stops in Exmouth, Exeter, Lympstone and Exeter Airport.
