Seafront double fronted flat - unavailable until 2024

Seafront double fronted flat - St Paul's Bay
Double fronted flat just 10 meters away from the sea, by the St. Paul`s Bay breakwater.
The flat is at 2nd floor level and is WITHOUT a lift - thus accessible from private entrance at seaside level and three flight of stairs of 9 steps each.
Flat is bright, enjoys sea views from all rooms, and a sea breeze flow. It is also airconditioned, which comes more handy in winter, rather than summer.
Another flight of stairs leads to an extra bedroom with ensuite, and private roof.
A sizeable terrace accessible from each of the bedrooms faces Xemxija Bay, where one can enjoy breakfast and lunch, and for the bookworms there's a mini library about Malta's history, legends and heritage sites to read through your stay by the water's edge.

About the location

Nearest Airport: Luqa International Airport - Direct Bus route to St. Paul's Bay

St. Pauls Bay's Veccja breakwater at the inner harbour is a popular summer residence area, providing an uninterrupted hour's walk by the sea's edge from the breakwater right along to the opposite side of the bay & back.
St. Paul`s Islands can be seen from the kitchen and the swimming zone is just 10 meters from the front door in a cul-de-sac, with also a pebbled inlet complemented by a sandy cave.
Buses to Mellieha, Qawra, St.Julians, Sliema and Valletta pass every 15 minutes just a flight of stairs away. Free parking at street level.
Direct buses to popular sandy beaches of Golden Bay and Ghadira/Mellieha Bay.
A restaurant, a pharmacy and a food & vegetable/fruit store are located within 2 minutes, 10 minutes and 15 minutes walk respectively - or just 2 bus stages away.

The Northern part of Malta enjoys excellent tracking trails along the coast and the best bays of the islands, with a concentration of diving schools. There is also a half hour ferry to the sister island of Gozo, and shuttle boats to the tiny islet of Comino (famous for its Blue Lagoon - but alas becomes too crowded in summer).

A visit to Malta would not be complete unless one immerses into its rich history spanning five and a half millennia - from the impressive Megalithic and Neolithic UNESCO World Heritage sites of Ggantija & Hypogeum (since 3500 BC), right through to its Punic temples, Roman & subsequently medieval citadel of Mdina, the magnificent fortifications, palaces and works of art left by the Knight Hospitalliers, right down to Victorian WWII structures and British influence.

Valletta a World Heritage City in its own right can be described as an open air museum, with the sumptuous St John’s Co-Cathedral listed on the top 25 attractions in Europe.

Throughout summer there are colourful village feasts every weekend, whereas the Notte Bianca (Valletta), Candle lit Luminaria (Birgu), Grand Harbour fireworks festival, Mdina Medieval Pageant and Classic Cars Grand Prix, the Good Friday processions, mechanical Christmas Cribs exhibitions, and the Yacht races amongst others are events that should not be missed.
It is recommended to check the events scheduled at the Manoel Theatre (inaugurated in 1731) and the open-air theatre Pjazza Rjal, or the annual concerts held outside Valletta or Manoel Island.

Children particularly enjoy the seaside, and visiting the National Aquarium at Qawra, the Playmobil FunPark at Safi, at the Explora Science Centre at picturesque Kalkara - both serviced by public bus routes.

The sea is fine for swimming right from April to December and Malta is popular with scuba diving enthusiasts but there is also lots to explore by simply snorkeling, especially on a yacht day charter.
During winter the days are rarely cold, as most days still enjoy a number of hours' sunshine, and are ideal for hikes along the coast which blends the garigue with the blue sea background.
Above all Malta is deemed as a very safe destination and the Maltese in general are renowned for their hospitality.
Please note that driving is on the LEFT hand side (British legacy), and whilst renting a car conveys flexibility, there is a good inexpensive bus network, plus online private hire cabs apps.

Considering Malta's concise size, it provides the opportunity to enjoy multiple diverse activities in a single day.
