Edge of Cambridge City - 2 bed home near to Granchester Meadows
We are located in Trumpington, an easily accessible suburb of Cambridge city, close to the M11 and a 10 minute cycle to the train station and the city beyond.
We have a bright two bedroom property within walking distance of two lovely local parks (Hobson Park and Trumpington Meadows) which are lovely for morning walks and bird spotting. We`re very close to the famed Trumpinton Meadows with the gorgeous Orchard Tea Rooms. We also have a large Waitroes supermarket a short walk away.
Our home is part of a new development with a range of differing houses, ours is a masonet - it looks like a terraced town house with our own front and back enterance and set over four floors floors, but the top two levels are our neighbours who have a seperate entrance at the end of the small row of houses. We have a small front garden and a little back yard (filled with plants and childrens play equipment) where we catch the sun at different times of the day, so theres always someplace nice to enjoy coffee in the sun.
We have two bedrooms, the master room has a king size bed and the second has a bunk bed with the bottom level being a double, so in total we can accommodate 5 people. There is a full bathroom on the top floor and an additional toilet on the ground floor. The main living area is an open planned kitchen, diner, living room with large windows and doors opening up to the rear yard. We have one lovely old cat who lives with us who would need looking after.
There is a great community here, we have regular food trucks coming weekly to the community garden by the house, providing a range of world cuisine. We also have a friendly coffee vendor who trades most days at the garden so you can enjoy a fresh hot cup as you wander through the garden and adjoining park.
About the location
A short bus or cycle journey will have you in Cambridge city centre in minutes where you`ll find all the famous sights of the colleges, punting on the river Cam and many lovely shops. Cambridge has a thriving food scene so you`ll find an abundance of places to eat and drink. There are also the numerous museums, such as Sedgwick and the Museum of Zoology, right in the centre of town
It is a bustling city for entertainment, there are often events on the multiple greens but also a whole host of great shows at the Cambridge Corn exchange and the Cambridge Junction. And don`t forget the fantastic Cambridge Jazz festival!
The river Cam is beautiful to punt or paddle board, and it's a great way to see Cambridge.
