About the location

Brighthampton is a small hamlet, and part of the larger village of Standlake in Oxfordshire. Standlake has a small village shop and a pub within walking distance. Five minutes in the car, or a slightly longer but interesting walk along the Mosaic Trail will also get you to the famous Rose Revived and Maybush pubs where you can hire boats to enjoy the Thames. You are also just under 10 minutes drive from the busy market town of Witney with local independent and chain shops and restaurants, and 15 minutes from Burford, the gateway to the beautiful Cotswolds.

Brighthampton and Standlake have easy access to main roads meaning historic and literary Oxford is only around a 20 minute drive. Other attractions are also within easy reach such as Bibury, Bourton on the Water, the Uffington White Horse, Minster Lovell Ruins, Bampton (used as the village of Downton in Downton Abbey), Blenheim Palace. Slightly further away you also have Highclere Castle (also known as Downton Abbey), Cheltenham, Bath, Avebury, and even London is within reach.
