House close to golf course, beaches etc

Our delightful property is perched on a hillside overlooking the La Marquesa stunning golf course along with shops and restaurants, and close to both the Spanish town of Rojales, and Ciudad Quesada. There are many beaches to choose from, including Guardamar de Segura, Torrevieja, La Mata and Playa Flamenco (among many others!).

It is a semi-detached villa with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, spacious living room and utility room. Outside there is a lovely garden (for sunbathing, dining etc), a relaxing terrace off the main bedroom upstairs, a small one downstairs off the living room and a good community pool. Although there is room for a parking space, it is a bit difficult to manoeuvre into, so most of us just park on the main road (as it is a small community along a small, but sweet, street).

It is not a huge or posh house, but it is well kept and maintained and very well equipped with everything you might need for a restful or busy holiday in a beautiful part of Spain. There is air conditioning in both the living room and main (upstairs) bedroom, as well as modern, adjustable, ceiling fans in the living room and downstairs bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with full cooker, oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine (in the utility room), and the garden has good furniture, seating pads, sun umbrellas etc. There is a walk-in shower next to the main bedroom and a full bath and shower downstairs next to bedroom.

We have a full TV service (showing British and Spanish TV), an Amazon firestick, and very good wifi. There is also a portable radio, music centre with CDs, DVDs, and lots of books (including classics).

About the location

The house is located in the La Marquesa golf area of Ciudad Quesada, within the municipality of Rojales. The walk down to the golf course takes about 10 minutes (but maybe a bit more coming up again!). La Marquesa itself has many amenities such as bars, restaurants, and a main brand supermarket, as well as the lovely clubhouse. Within a couple of minutes walk from the house you will also find the pretty El Recorral nature park with walking trails, lakes, wildlife, picnic and BBQ areas.

Nearby is the bustling and very popular Ciudad Quesada main high street offering a wealth of amenities such as banks, shopping boulevards, petrol station, bars and very good restaurants. In Ciudad Quesada there is also a four star luxury spa hotel, waterpark, go-kart, mini golf and supermarkets. The views from many parts of Ciudad Quesada are wonderful including, salt lake, mountain, countryside and even views of the Mediterranean sea!.

The nearest beach is 10 minutes drive over to Guardamar de Segura: there is miles/kilometres of beautiful sandy beach with cafes, promenades, a marina and the Reina Sofia nature park. It forms part of the very long Costa Brava coastline where there are many beautiful beaches along the whole coast, others being Plays Flamenca, Torrevieja, the famous Mar Menor and Santa Pola (from where you can take a boat across to Tabarca island for a lovely day out).

The popular town of Torrevieja with its wonderful Marina, seafront promenade and stunning salt lakes is just a 10 minute drive away, and the famous Orihuela Costa holiday strip resorts such as Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, La Zenia and Punta Prima are just a 20 minute drive away.

There are several weekly markets in nearby towns in every day of the week (full list will be provided).

The area is serviced by two airports; Alicante which can be reached in 30 minutes and the new Corvera airport which can be reached in 50 minutes. A car is recommended.
