Braunton is a beautiful large village near the North Devon coast. It`s popular with surfers and holiday makers.

Visit the Braunton Museum and information centre where you can find out about the history of the village and check out it`s working model railway. Over the road from the museum is the Museum of British Surfing. There`s the Braunton Countryside centre where you can find out about the local environment and wildlife.

There are ample cafe’s, pubs and restaurants to pop in for a coffee in the daytime, or an evening meal.

Braunton and the surrounding area has lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife which can all be accessed from public footpaths and bridleways that criss-cross the area.

Running through the heart of the North Devon Biosphere is the Tarka Trail, a walking and cycling route that follows the journey of Tarka the otter from the famous novel. The Tarka Trail traverses unspoiled countryside, dramatic sea cliffs and beautiful beaches.
