Family home

This is the home of a classical musician and if required the music room with grand piano could be made available, or an excellent Steinway upright in the conservatory. It is an attractive, semi detached family home, with original features such as tiled floors, cornices and fire places. There is a large kitchen with a wood burning stove, large sofa and comfortable chairs. It has a 2 oven Belling gas cooker, with7 burners, a microwave, Belfast sink, double fridge and dishwasher. The kitchen leads out into the terrace and green garden through French doors, and into the conservatory/dining room, which easily sits 10. There is a fitted side cupboard with extra small fridge and freezer here.
The sitting room is reached through a door from the conservatory or the hall, with TV, antique writing desk and a yellow sofa which can be used as a sofa bed. The front room looking onto the street is a music room with grand piano. There is a shower room with toilet and basin on the ground floor with a powerful shower.
Upstairs is a self contained toilet and basin. The family bathroom is next door with the original large Victorian bath with mixer taps and hand shower attachment, basin and bidet and easy chair and in blue toile de jouy Stroheim fabric. The washing machine is fitted under the basin area. The double master bedroom looks over the garden and has a hand basin, vintage dark red velvet curtains. On the next landing is the 2nd bedroom looking out over the conservatory and neighbouring gardens. Up a flight of stairs is a loft room with double white brass bed, hand basin, velux blinds and a double futon for extra sleeping space if needed. The house is light and airy with a wonderful
collection of art.

About the location

The beautiful Queen’s Park is the end of the Street, where there is a cafe, tennis courts, woodland walk, mini golf, children’s farm and playground. Queen’s Park Tube Station and Kensal Rise overground station are 7 minutes walk away and it is a 15 minute journey on the Bakerloo line to Oxford Circus tube. The neighbourhood is quiet and green and there are artisan cafes, pubs, food markets and restaurants just nearby. Portobello Market and Notting Hill Gate are 10 minutes by bus. On the overground train Hampstead Heath is in one direction, Richmond Park and Kew gardens in the other. We love the area and have lived here all our married life.
