Helen and Alan Mackay`s Brighton House

Our home is a 4 bedroom terrace house with sitting room/dining room and a kitchen/breakfast room with bi folding doors leading onto the terrace and garden. A BBQ is available for guests use. The main bedroom with king size bed and lovely view of the green hill opposite, double bedroom and second sitting room with a sofa bed are on the first floor. Third bedroom with double bed and work space is on the 3rd floor. This room has fabulous views of the sea to Worthing and on a clear day you can see the Isle of Wight. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, micowave etc. There is a smart TV in the living room with Netflix etc. a fully stocked games cupboard, table tennis bats and balls and tennis racquets.

Our newly west facing landscaped garden has the sun all day. We have a small patio at the top for morning coffee and a large terrace outside the kitchen ideal for al fresco dining. We also have wonderful neighbours both sides who are very friendly and helpful.

About the location

Our house is on a tree lined street a half mile stroll from Brighton seafront. Beautiful Queens Park with its lovely lake, tennis courts, table tennis tables and childrens`play area and St. Luke`s swimming pool are just a few minutes walk round the corner. We are approx 1mile walk from the main train station, the vibrant city centre with its many restuarants and nightlife, the magnificent Brighton Pavilion and famous bohemian North Laines. An artisan bakery, coffee shops and restaurants can be found either adjacent to Queens Park or in the fabulous quirky Kemptown at the bottom of the street where you will find many pubs (one a microbrewery) and a small supermarket. Frequent bus services to the city and Brighton Marina run just minutes walk from our house. The County Town of Lewes, Historic Hastings, Arundel and the South Downs are accessible by car and local transport however more local countryside walks are on our doorstep. Newhaven Port which is approximatley 7 miles East runs a ferry service to Dieppe, Northern France. Frequent direct trains run to and from Gatwick Airport, London Victoria and Kings Cross St Pancras stations from Brighton Main Line Station.
On-street parking in residential areas in Brighton is not free, it can be paid for hourly via phone or an App or daily with a voucher, these can be arranged by us before your visit.
