Large Modern Family Home.

Recently extended home on city edge within reach of Lochs & mountains. Our four bedroom property has a modern lay out with a large modern kitchen/diner that connects to the lounge/playroom with Smart TV. Glazed doors leads out to a patio and the garden that we love to spend time in. It gets the sun most of the day and has a separate decking area with outdoor dining furniture. We also have a climbing frame on the lawn.

Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor: Three of the four bedrooms downstairs. The Main bedroom (with ensuite) has a king-sized bed; the spare room also has a king size bed; twin room with single beds. In addition, on the ground floor there is also a family bathroom and a living room.

There is a further bedroom upstairs, which also has an ensuite bathroom. This is set up as my office with a sit/stand desk and in this we have 2 single beds which can also be pushed together to make a double.

About the location

We live in Clarskston, a quiet neighbourhood on the southern edge of the city of Glasgow. We are a 1 minute walk to a bus stop and 5 minutes’ walk to the train station and within easy reach of the main roads and motorways that connect with the city. This means we are within easy reach of the cities of Scotland as well as the Loch’s, mountains, and islands.

The city of Glasgow is a short train ride / drive and has a lot to offer. It is a port city on the River Clyde in Scotland`s western Lowlands. It`s famed for its Victorian and art nouveau architecture, a rich legacy of the city`s 18th–20th-century prosperity due to trade and shipbuilding. Today it`s a national cultural hub, home to institutions including the Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and National Theatre of Scotland, as well as acclaimed museums and a thriving music scene. Great shopping too on the ‘Style Mile’, Buchannan Street, St Enoch Centre and more.

If you want to explore Scotland’s natural beauty, there is a lot on offer nearby; Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle, Isle of Arran, Edinburgh, beeches of Ayrshire, Linlithgow Palace are all an hour or less away. On your doorstep are quiet country roads that we love to explore by bicycle; there is over 100 miles of traffic free (gravel) cycling and walking at the Windlee Windfarm; we love to swim at the White Loch, and there are many golf courses – all of which is within a few miles or less. There are lots of options for the children too with cycling (Balgray Resevoir has flat, traffic free paths), numerous parks, woodlands, play areas, swimming pools, and activities. Our kids love the Rural Life Museum where you can see vintage tractors, learn about bees and meet the animals. We love living here and we hope you would enjoy it too.
