Stone cottage in rural Mid Devon, Eggesford

Our end terrace cottage was built in the mid 19th Century. It sleeps 4 comfortably (1 double bedroom, 2 single bedrooms) but can accommodate some `extras` (there are 2 sofa beds downstairs plus a sofa bed in a `rustic` out-building). We have a large garden, with seating areas, a fire pit, pond and vegetable patch.

About the location

The house is in a quiet but friendly small hamlet in mid Devon. It is 1 mile up the hill from Eggesford train station on the branchline which connects to Exeter(40 mins) on the South coast and Barnstaple (30 mins) on the North Coast. The setting is very rural, with lots of walks from the house, including the Tarka trail. The nearest pub is 2 miles by road and a pleasant walk through woods & across the fields.
The surfing beaches and rugged coastline of North Devon & North Cornwall are within easy reach (45 mins - 1 hour by car). Dartmoor & Exmoor are a similar distance.
