Charming character cottage with private garden set in grounds and parkland of converted 18th century estate near Ruabon, Wales. Long private tree lined drive leads to picturesque, quiet estate with lake, tennis courts and wonderful open views. Our home has been recently updated with kitchen/diner remodel, addition of a second bathroom (cloakroom), and fresh paint throughout. The cottage has all modern amenities (TV, internet, central heating, washer and dryer, dishwasher, etc) and two parking spaces at the front entrance. Enjoy the beautiful private garden with water feature and views to the estate parkland.

About the location

This is a picturesque area of North Wales with many well known attractions like the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct, Llangollen Canal, beautiful town of Llangollen on the River Dee and edge of Berwyn mountains, Chirk Castle, and Erddig Estate literally on our doorstep. Snowdonia National Park (think walk up Mt Snowdon), coastal towns of Llandudno (go up the Great Orme), Caernarfon (castle) and Conwy (castle) are an hour away. The Isle of Angelsey is an easy day trip. Shopping is readily available in nearby (30 minutes) Chester (oldest city in England) or Oswestry . There are nice walks right on the estate and adjoining lands, at Chirk Castle and Erddig Estate, along the Llangollen canal, and the beautiful Panorama Walk between Trevor and Llangollen. Of course there are many great pubs and restaurants nearby. The A483 is very near which provides easy access to Chester and Oswestry and the A55/North Wales Expressway is easily reached.
