Detached open plan house with large garden - Trowbridge near Bath

Our modern chalet bungalow is located in a quiet, exclusive and leafy residential area on the outskirts of Trowbridge town. We bought it around 11 years ago and have since lovingly renovated and extended it at the rear to include a wonderful orangery lounge with full width doors opening on to our beautiful private garden containing a sunken hot tub - as well as a large patio and BBQ area. The lounge leads into an open plan dining area with table to seat 10 and a large well stocked kitchen which we both love cooking in. Next to the dining room is our large office (which will be locked during your stay) . Along the hallway are the 2 guest bedrooms - one en-suite and the other next to the family bathroom, as well as a utility room with a washing machine & tumble drier.
Upstairs is the Master bedroom with a super-king bed, lounge area and a walk in wet room and bathroom. The bedroom leads out into a large balcony overlooking the garden. A second office/ Tony's man cave is also upstairs and will be locked.
We have fast broadband throughout the house, 2 landlines and Freesat TV as well as a comprehensive music system in the lounge. Although all our children have now left home and have families of their own, we meet up every week at our house for "family night" which means we have a travel cot, high chair, buggy, car seat, and toys that you would be welcome to use if you wished. Luckily for us we have several large cabins in the garden where we can store these when not in use, so the house is not cluttered when it is just the 2 of us.
We have a cleaner once a week and we also have a separate one-bed log cabin in the garden which we rent out for short stays. If we have no guests, then the Jacuzzi hot tub is available to use. The log cabin is not rented out in the winter months or when we do long-stay swaps (unless we already have bookings).

About the location

Just 8 miles from the beautiful Georgian City of Bath, 21 miles from Salisbury/Stonehenge, 25 miles from Bristol and 40 miles from the glorious Cotswolds, Trowbridge is itself the County Town of Wiltshire with a rich heritage based around the woollen industry. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, sports facilities and a cinema within a short walk of the house. We are very fortunate to be well placed with beautiful surrounding countryside yet at the same time be within easy reach to both the M3 and M4 motorways, allowing easy access to the South coast, London, Oxford, the South West, Wales and much more.
Tony is a keen fisherman so will be able to give you lots of advice about where to fish and we are also both scuba divers and can put you in touch with our local club in Bath if you wanted to find out about diving in the UK.
