A quaint cottage in an attractive village with shop and pub and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Our cottage is also used as a holiday home. It is in a row of 3 cottages and has a small front garden and patio where it is lovely to sit in the sunshine.
Upstairs there is one double room, one twin- bedded room and one single room. Also a bathroom with shower. Downstairs is another shower and toilet room, a pantry with washing machine, a small but well equipped kitchen and a sitting/dining room.
We look out onto fields at the rear and there is a store area for bikes etc.
About the location
The Yorkshire Dales are an area of outstanding natural beauty and Austwick is in the National Park. There are many wonderful walks from the cottage and there are also caves and waterfalls to visit very nearby. There are also opportunities for climbing and potholing. Austwick is within a 10 minute drive of Settle where the scenic Settle -Carlisle railway starts, and is an excellent base for walking the 3 Peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent. For a day at the sea, Morecambe and Grange over Sands are an easy drive, and the Lake District is also a short drive.
