Our house is an original Weatherboard with high ceilings from the 1950`s and 60`s when Bushland was opened up to create the now established and well looked-after leafy suburb of St Ives.  
Our newly-renovated open plan kitchen, diner and lounge area is air-conditioned and overlooks the gum trees of the beautiful Cowan Reserve. 
Bi-fold doors spanning the back wall, open up to a wooden balcony which overlooks the Reserve and our natural, Australian garden, and then continues to the pool on the same level. 
Watch cockatoos flying across the treetops as the sun sets from the sofa, the balcony or the pool.  Listen to the cicadas and kookaburras at dusk from the outdoor eating area with Barbecue where we eat all our meals in the summer months.  
The main bedroom also overlooks the pool. There is also a separate downstairs area with a spacious bedroom (no 5) and it`s own bathroom and veranda opening out on to the garden. 
We have good-sized children`s bedrooms and toys for children staying to play with. We are also offering a car exchange as driving is essential - whilst we are suburban and can access all amenities within minutes, we are still fairly rural, but you will be surprised at how quickly and easily you can get everywhere!  

About the location

St Ives is a established and well looked-after leafy suburb: there are bush walking tracks just minutes from our house that you could walk down for hours and not see anything but the natural beauty of the Australian Bush.
That said, we are a 5 minute drive from the Shopping Village, which houses 2 supermarkets, all the conveniences you might need and a number of up-market clothes stores, cafe`s and restaurants. 10 minutes drive away is a stunning river with boating, a marina, playground and picnic area (Bobbin Head Reserve - there is even an aboriginal site). Our closest beach (Mona Vale) is 20 minutes` drive away, and from there you can explore all the Northern Beaches for Surfing, swimming (most have a natural swimming pool) and coastal walks. You are only 30 minutes drive to the Opera House, Circular Quay and all the City has to offer, or a 10 minute drive to the nearest train station for the same. There is so much to do close by - Church Point, Scotland Island, Palm Beach, Avalon...the list of beautiful places to visit is endless!
