Nether Stowey is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty close to the Quantock Hills and the south west coastline. It is famous for its connection with Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Wordsworth. The cottage inhabited by S T Coleridge is situated in Lime Street and is now a National Trust property, open to the public on selected days. There are 3 shops, a library, post office, church and nearby health centre, all situated close to the cottage.
