About the location

Wheatley Hills is an urban suburb of Doncaster located a couple of miles from the town centre. It is a convenient place to live as has an excellent location in terms of travel by bus, train or car. Access to the M18, M1 and A1 is very easy and quick. There are also frequent buses to the town centre. There are a few local shops including a post office, pharmacist, butchers and bakery etc. Sandall Park is a short walk away and there are plenty of play facilities for children there, also a lake and some lovely scenery. Doncaster area has many attractions including a race course that hosts the famous St Leger Stakes, the oldest classic horse race in the world, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, a market and a number of historic halls including Brodsworth, Cusworth, etc. There are many cities close to Doncaster including Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Hull etc and York is only a twenty minute train journey away. Being on the East Coast Main Line Doncaster is linked to many towns and cities across the U.K. including Durham. Newcastle on Tyne and Edinburgh. Doncaster is also a relatively short distance away from the seaside resorts on the east coast. The beautiful Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District in Derbyshire are easily accessible.
