About the location

Set in a quiet culdesac, within walking distance of Havant town centre and the famous 'billy line` (pleasant woodland walk and cycle path to Hayling Island).

Emsworth is very close and is a beautiful historic market town very popular with sailors. It is renowned for high quality restaurants, independent shops and it's picture perfect millpond - a lovely walking spot along the coast.

We are close to the Southdowns National Park and Chichester Harbour AONB. We have a great mix of rural walks (including Kingley Vale nature reserve) and seaside entertainment. Hayling Island is a 15 minute drive away where windsurfing was invented and the blue flag beaches are hugely popular with kite surfers and wind surfers alike. kayaking and sup are popular in the coastal areas nearby.

Mountain biking is popular in nearby Queen Elizabeth Country Park and the Southdowns offer quiet well maintained roads for those who prefer road cycling.

Chichester and Portsmouth cities are both within half an hour drive or train journey. Chichester is an old Roman city with a famous theatre and Cathedral. Goodwood is situated just outside Chichester. Portsmouth’s historic dockyards are a great day out with the flagship HMS Nelson docked near Gunwharf Quays retail and dining attractions.

Our house is approx 5-10 min walk to Havant train station (Waterloo direct line) and ideally located for Hayling, Emsworth, Portsmouth, Chichester (and Goodwood) and the South Downs National Park.

A very nice selection of pubs, restaurants and takeaways nearby. The Spring Arts Centre is in walking distance offering a great mix of family events, theatre, music and cinema. Staunton park and farm and Stansted House and gardens are wonderful family friendly places to viait. There are good supermarkets, shops, and a popular retail park nearby. You can walk to the Langston`s harbour beach (with two lovely pubs on the waterside) via the Hayling Billy Line path. There are local horse riding schools near Langstone.
