Detached House - Knaresborough

The house is a recently refurbished and converted bungalow in a very quiet street.

It is a 20 minute walk, 10 minute bike ride, or 5 minute drive in the car or bus journey to the centre of Knaresborough.

It comprises a lounge with wood burning stove, a kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms (1 double bed and 1 single bed), study and a large garden with decked seating area, vegetable beds, fruit trees and a greenhouse and summer house. The garden is south facing so gets the sun all day. It is fitted with stylish contemporary furniture.

There is WIFI, a TV, DVD player, Stereo system, washing machine, cooker and microwave.

About the location

The house is in a semi-rural area on the outskirts of Knaresbrough in North Yorkshire. Knaresborough is a picturesque Georgian market town, with many historic buildings all set on a hill along side the river Nidd. There are fantastic views from the ruined Castle. There are shops, small supermarkets, cafes, traditional pubs and a weekly market.

It is close to Harrogate (15 minutes), York (30 minutes) and Leeds (40 minutes), which can be reached by car or by train from Knaresborough Station.

The house backs onto the Nidd Gorge a beautiful wooded valley, with the River Nidd. You can walk from the house directly into the countryside with many footpaths.

It is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dale of Nidderdale, which is officially recognised as an Area Of Oustanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is near to the village of Ripley and Ripley Castle and Gardens (10 minute drive or 2 hour walk along the river). National Trust visitor attractions such as the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks are both 30 minute car drives away.

You can visit the famous spa town of Harrogate and its Turkish baths and Betty's Tea Room and also its many shops, bars, cinemas, galleries and cafes.

If you want museums and galleries or live music / clubs you can visit both York and Leeds very easily.
