Child friendly apartment close to central Stockholm - Solna

A spacious two-bedroom apartment in the Solna area of Stockholm. Solna is a quiet area of town with a mix of houses and apartments with a “town within a town” feel. Näkrosen tunnelbana (underground/metro) stop is 100 meters along the street so downtown Stockholm is only 10 minutes away.

The apartment has a bedroom with a kingsize bed and one larger bedroom which is set up for two young children (four and six). There is a separate kitchen, large living room/dining area, and TV room (that has a pull out sofa double bed). The main bathroom has a toilet, bath and shower, the second bathroom is smaller and has a toilet and shower.

Superfast broadband, TV, DVD’s and Wii U console are all provided. Plenty of toys and books (half English/half Swedish) for the kids. Other children’s accessories can be negotiated (Car seats, rain coats, boots, bikes etc)

The apartment building has an elevator and is fully accessible for wheelchairs.

About the location

Solna is close to central Stockholm and is close to downtown without the hustle and bustle of being right downtown. There lots of small shops and restaurants nearby and several large green areas such as Golfängarna and Haga Park in close proximity. Friends Arena is 1 km away (a nice walk by the lake) which is Sweden’s national football stadium but also widely used entertainment venue hosting events such as the Eurovision song contest and concerts by major international artists. Swedens largest shopping centre, The mall of Scandinavia, is next to Friends Arena.
Stockholm is a beautiful city set on 14 islands where lake Mälaren meets the Baltic. You are never far from water and it gives the city a very open feel. Public transport is very good, and the town is easy to walk around. There are hundreds of other islands in the Stockholm Archipelago which you can visit by boat, or even rent a kayak and find your own island for a day or two. Admission for many of the very good museums is free, with Skansen a must to see a condensed version of Sweden’s past. The vast majority of Swedes speak very good English.
