Our comfortable home is a light, spacious, detached house on the outskirts of Ipswich (the county town of Suffolk), with short walk to the town centre and easy access to the coast and countryside.

The house has 4 bedrooms (2 doubles and 2 singles), 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite), downstairs cloakroom, large lounge, dining room and conservatory. Separate study. Kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher, washer and drier. Good size garden with patio and outside furniture for eating. We also have a piano - and an elderly, but much-loved cat (who could be fed by our neighbour if preferred)!

About the location

We are ideally situated for day trips to London (70 minutes by train), Cambridge, Norwich and lovely seaside towns. The Suffolk coast boasts an area of outstanding natural beauty ranging from Southwold and Aldeburgh in the north to Felixstowe (25 minutes away) and Harwich in the south; encompassing the world renowned concert hall at Snape Maltings and other historic sites such as the Sutton Hoo ancient burial mounds and the famous RSPB Minsmere bird reserve. There are many fine historic churches in the area, and mediaeval castles at Framlingham and Orford.

Ipswich itself is a large town with an attractive waterfront, cinemas, restaurants, theatre and museum. Christchurch Park (a 20 minute walk) is the most beautiful of several parks in the town and contains the 16th century historic Christchurch Mansion. We live on the northern edge of the town in a very nice neighbourhood.
