Broomfield Farmhouse

Our home is an ex-farmhouse located in the South Derbyshire village of Etwall. It is in a courtyard surrounded by what used to be the stables and farm workers cottages. It`s higgledy piggledy (having been added to over the years) with lots of exposed beams and low doors to bang your head on! There is an open fireplace in the hall / dining room as you enter, a couple of living rooms, a sunny conservatory overlooking our walled garden, and four bedrooms all upstairs.

About the location

Etwall used to be a small village but now is effectively a commuter village (of about 3000) for Derby. The house is in the old part of the village. The Peak District is about 30 minutes drive away, although the location is convenient for the National Forest and all the Midlands attractions. There are plenty of quiet country lanes for cycling, and country walks from the door.
