Our Home is a an large extended 3 bedroom (4 really, but one is an office) detached house situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac.
There are 2/3 public rooms ie. Front lounge, rear family/ dining room. With access to the decking balcony and patio with extensive views to the Campsie Fells.
Upstairs: the master bedroom with KS bed has a dressing area (used to be the 5th bedroom). Bedroom 2 has a split KS bed and great views of the hills. Bedroom 3 overlooking the front has twin beds.
The mature well furnished rear garden with assorted tables, seating and BBQ enjoys full sunshine from midday till dusk , which can be as late as 11pm in summer!
The large dining table can comfortably accommodate 6 people.
The large fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar leads to a utility room and the back door to the garden.
Bathrooms: There is a guest toilet off the front hall. Upstairs there is a family bathroom with bath and shower. There is an additional shower room with WC. next to the twin room upstairs
There are 2 TV's downstairs (1 x Sky, 1 x Virgin) along with DVD/ Blue Ray player. Vinyl turntable/ CD player and a collection of LP's and CD's. Also WiFi for your devices.

About the location

Kirkintilloch is a small town 7 miles north of Glasgow about 25 minutes from Glasgow Airport.
It is very well situated as a base to explore Central Scotland and the Trossachs.

Loch Lomond is a scenic 50 minute drive, while the Festival city of Edinburgh is 45 miles away. It can also be reached by train from nearby Lenzie Station (50 mins).
The historic city of Stirling is only 20 miles away.

Glasgow Centre is a 10 minute train ride. or 20 minute car trip. There you can find a tremendous array of attractions:
Many museums and art galleries, which are mostly free. The best shopping outside London, myriads of restaurants, all kinds of pubs, and loads of nightlife.

The famous Celtic and Rangers football teams play in the city regularly as well as sometimes attracting international teams such as Barcelona and Paris St Garmaine etc.
Within its theaters and stadiums, especially the magnificent Hydro indoor stadium, Glasgow is a world class venue hosting international musicians and rock bands etc.


Kirkintilloch itself has a number of enjoyable places to go: The Forth and Clyde Canal runs through the centre of the town. There is a very attractive tow path ideal for easy walks or cycling.
The Antonine Wall; the most northern point of the Roman Empire ran through the town. Remnants of it can be seen just outside Twechar not far from Kirkintilloch.

The town boasts plenty of shops including a number of supermarkets, The Regent Shopping Centre is siituated amid the recently upgraded town centre streetscape.

There are quite a few golf courses close by: Hayston, Kirkintilloch, Bishopbriggs, Cawder, Campsie and Balmore.
Public Transport: The town is well served by buses going in all directions. Lenzie Station, on the main Glasgow to Edinburgh line is a 5 minute drive away.
