Spacious and stylish home, on a quirky cobbled mews - Hove

Our home is on a traditional english mews, lined with individually painted houses with stable doors. The interior is cool, bright and contemporary, with bespoke furniture and original art throughout. A large 3 double bedroom property, a brand new luxury kitchen and bathroom have been recently added. The master bedroom is large and airy with a kingsize bed, and the second bedroom is a spacious children's room with a cot and adult day-bed (can be pulled out to create a double!). Alternatively, if you prefer, there is a third, very large loft room, again with a double bed and small child's bed. We have plenty of provisions for under 2s: a cot, plenty of baby toys, bath seat etc. We can also issue a permit so you are able to park on the street at no cost (spaces permitting, although this is rarely a problem). The interior aside, you'll find the mews to be a very friendly, beautiful and totally unique location, perfectly situated for exploring the nearby beaches and the city.

About the location

The mews is a totally unique location. A quiet, creative haven which comes alive on a Saturday morning when the Cambridge Grove Makers Market opens to locals in the know. With its own coffee roasters serving homemade donuts, and local artists and makers selling their unique home wares, there is a real buzz in the air.

It is only a short walk away from the galleries, shops, beaches, theatres and restaurants Brighton & Hove have to offer. If you're a foodie, culture junkie, or nature fan, you've found the perfect spot! A short 10 min walk down to the sea (which you can see as soon as you exit the mews) and you can wander in either direction along the beautiful promenade. Towards Brighton you will stroll past hundreds of top restaurants, boutiques, the new i360, an amazing playground with paddling pool, and beach volleyball courts. The other direction leads you past cafes, a wonderful Italian seafood restaurant, and along the quieter but beautiful Hove beaches. The closest beach to us is particularly ideal for an evening bbq and a real italian ice cream from the locally famous Marroccos!

Brighton's Laines live up to their reputation: quirky indie shops are ideal for shopping for anything from bespoke interior decorations, to vintage clothing, to art and souvenirs.

Galleries aplenty, catch an exhibition at Fabrica or Lighthouse, or enjoy a unique show or gig during one of the many festivals or fringes throughout the year. In May and December you can even have a nose around some of Sussex's most beautiful, quirky and creative homes during the Artist Open Houses.

Hove is the quieter end of Brighton, with its own unique culture and nightlife, every bit as fun and interesting as its louder, brasher big brother...which is only 15 minutes walk down the road should you want to dip in and out, but come home to a good night's sleep!

I will be sure to recommend our many favourite restaurants and pubs should you decide to stay. And if you have a baby we will be sure to pass on info on all the child-friendly spots to feed, play or entertain the little ones!

The house is a 5 minute walk to Hove station for direct trains to London (1 hour away). You are also 20 mins walk to Brighton centre, the world-famous Lanes and the station, or you can catch a bus just two mins from the house which will get you there in 7 minutes. Alternatively cabs are only £6 or £7 into town if you felt like a stroll in but a drive home!
