Five bedroom heritage building in Tarbert. It's a lovely place to relax, private but only 3 minutes down the hill to the heart of the village! Dun Alisdair can easily accommodate up to eight and plenty of space for outside BBQs, walks in the garden and trips on water and in beautiful Kintyre.

About the location

The village of Tarbert on Loch Fyne is situated at the top of the Mull of Kintyre, Argyll. It has two harbours, the main harbour on the east coast and across the isthmus a pier at West Loch Tarbert. This busy little fishing port has a lot to attract visitors not least of which is the stunning scenery.
Many visitors who stay for a week or so, use Tarbert as their base to explore this large peninsula, its historic sites and of course the islands that lie just off the coast such as Gigha, Islay and Jura on the west side or the island of Arran to the east. There is fishing, walking, golf, cycling and of course fantastic wildlife including birds of prey, deer, dolphins, basking sharks and much more.

Every year Tarbert is host to the Scottish Series, Scotland's biggest sail racing event. This event lasts for 4 days at the end of May each year. If you are thinking of experiencing this great long weekend full of events and fun you should book many months in advance as rooms are always fully booked early. Around the beginning of July each year, Tarbert puts on the now famous Tarbert Seafood Festival, with all the local businesses supporting the event which attracts celebrity chefs and more. This really is a weekend of culinary delights and entertainment. The seafood festival is an appropriate event for a fishing port where you can eat seafood which was in the sea the morning of your restaurant visit. Later in the year, in mid September, the village is again host to a festival, this time its the Tarbert Music Festival. Fantastic Music playing in a large number of venues. Visit our Festival pages for further information. www.tarbertlochfyne.com
