Corner Cottage Bempton

Built around 1800 as an agricultural dwelling, Corner Cottage is at the end of a terrace of three cottages. Two good size first floor double bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a king size double bed and has room for an additional z bed (supplied), the second double bedroom has two single beds. There is also a three-piece bathroom on the first floor which includes an over bath shower. On the ground floor is a small kitchen equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and an electric double oven cooker. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen, with a sideboard and dining table which will seat six. Also on the ground floor is a large split-level lounge with a solid fuel / wood burner stove., tv, wireless broadband, and seating for up to nine. There are patio doors to the private south facing rear garden from the lounge. There is a ground floor toilet and shower room. The solid fuel/wood burner together with gas central heating provide good heating throughout the cottage. There is a single off road parking space at the end of the garden, and roadside parking spaces also available nearby. Table, chairs and barbeque available for use in the garden.

About the location

Bempton is a small village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, situated on the Flamborough Headland about four miles north of Bridlington. It is served by Bempton railway station which is on the Yorkshire Coast Line which runs from Hull to Scarborough, and a frequent bus service.
Bempton is well known for it`s cliffs and seabird colonies, and it is also home to the Bempton RSPB reserve which is 1.5 miles from the cottage.
The village is well served by an Anglican Church, Public House serving meals, Post Office and shop, together with an Art Gallery and Coffee shop.
Safe sandy beaches can be found a Bridlington ( 4 miles), Filey (8 miles) and Scarborough (15 miles).
The Cities of York, Hull and Beverley, North Yorkshire Moors and Whitby are all within a reasonable car journey from the cottage.
