Ideally placed for exploring Scotland - Falkirk

We have a four bedroomed bungalow which we've just renovated with new kitchen and bathroom so its all in great condition. There are three double bedrooms - one with its own shower room- and one single bedroom. there's a lovely big living room which is great in the evening as we've got a log burner as well as a brand new kitchen/diner and conservatory and utility room. The property has all the usual services including wifi throughout and tv/ dvd. Its very comfortable but spacious and ideal for a family or a group of friends.

The gardens are beautiful and completely private - perfect peace. And if you're interested in history, the roman Antonine Wall runs along the boundary of the garden.

About the location

Falkirk is an ideal place to explore Scotland. Its halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow and there are trains to both every 20 minute from the station which is a ten minute walk from the house. In Falkirk itself there's the Falkirk wheel - one of the engineering feats of recent times - the Kelpies and the Pineapple - a fascinating historic house shaped ( as it says) like a pineapple. We also have Callendar park a beautiful park in the middle of the town.

We're also 20 minutes from Stirling - the gateway to the highlands - or if you prefer the seaside we're 40 minutes to St Andrews and the coast.

Nearby there's parks to walk in, mountains to climb and a canal to enjoy. There's five internationally renowned golf courses with an hour's drive including Gleneagles and St Andrews both of which are open to visitors.
